David Williamson’s When Dad Married Fury

By David Williamson

Directed by Chris Searle

6 May to 4 June March 2016

Alan an ageing, millionaire businessman is returning to Sydney … But he is not alone. He’s married a much younger American ex beauty queen and he’s bringing her home to meet the family.

His two sons and their wives are anxious about the homecoming. Is their inheritance in jeopardy? They must handle the situation very carefully. But Dad has one more surprise which will cause even more disharmony …

Money may be the root of all evil, but the love of it can make for a fast-paced, modern comedy that explores greed, envy, generosity and family ties – in fact all the flaws that make us human. But none of us would behave so badly – would we? This is our most up-to-date comedy yet with David Williamson at his best … A biting social satire that will make you laugh, bring a tear to your eye and definitely make you think.
