Alex Hons

Alex’s initial theatre journey began with Sydney Hospital Reviews at the Footbridge Theatre from 1975 till 1980. In 1983, Alex joined the Ashfield Musical Society and was active till 2003. Memorable productions were Pal Joey, South Pacific, Music Man, Brigadoon and others. Between 2000 and 2003 Alex changed from musicals to plays at the Woodstock Centre at Burwood performing in Dial M for Murder, An Ideal Husband, There Goes the Bride and others.
Then due to a career adjustment, Alex transferred to Townsville in Queensland staying for 10 years. Alex discovered the Townsville Little Theatre (TLT) as well as being associated with Tropic Sun Theatre company. During those 10 years, Alex participated in about 30 plays ranging from a Ray Cooney farce such as Cash on Delivery, Terry Pratchett Discworld plays, Deathtrap, Henry IV (Parts 1 and 2), Richard 3, King Lear and others.
In 2013 Alex was transferred to Toowoomba and was fortunate to discover Toowoomba Repertory Theatre performing in plays such as The Odd Couple, Dead Man’s Hand and August: Osage County. After only 5 years in Toowoomba, Alex returned to Sydney.
