Jess Wake

Born in Perth, Jess is a dancer trained in various styles including jazz and burlesque but discovered her love of acting at the age of seventeen. When living in Brisbane she performed with the Brisbane Arts Theatre and in the one act play Being Norwegian which travelled for the South East Queensland Drama Festival.

Jess debuted at The Guild Theatre in the period drama Where Angels Fear To Tread. She played Caroline, a role she found to be as enjoyable a challenge as it was a wonderful opportunity as she was involved in every scene of the show. When asked about The Guild she says ‘Brilliant. Love the Guild. It has a real beautiful community feel.’
