Leone Sharp

Leone has been a member of The Guild Theatre since 2008 when she first joined to design costumes for Jane Eyre, one of her favourite plays. She has designed sets or costumes three times for this play at different companies.

Leone works part time in organisational development for a university and collects Alice in Wonderland memorabilia including dolls.

‘Community theatre is an important part of my life, essential for my mental health & wellbeing. During COVID lockdown I missed my creative outlet, researching historical costume periods and the camaraderie.’ – Leone Sharp

Leone’s Town

‘I grew up on the banks of the Nepean River at Penrith. In the 60’s the water was so clear you could see the lucky stones on the bottom of the river bed. I was a slalom kayaker throughout my childhood and teenage years. Penrith in those days was very much like Our Town or My Town. We knew everyone in the street and we would play outside or swim and kayak all day long and come home in time for dinner.’
