Lisa Hanssens

Lisa got into acting later in life after living a little first. She completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Welfare Studies and travelled the world. She worked in disability for years before running off to join the circus.

She first got involved in drama through short courses at Darlo Drama and performing in the Short + Sweet festival. She then went on to get an Advanced Diploma in Stage and Screen from The Academy of Film, Theatre and Television. She loves acting and having the freedom on stage to be people whom she could never be in real life.
She considers herself a performance artist and does shows in preschools and teaches drama and circus to kids and occasionally adults.

‘Community theatre is a chance to get together with like minded people and have fun on stage.’ – Lisa Hanssens
